Top Ten Tuesday #10: 10 Books I'd Love to See as Movies/TV Shows

10 Books I'd Love To See As Movies/TV Shows

If I had my way, every book should have an accompanying movie/tv show. Imagine getting to see all the hot and gorgeous characters 'in the flesh'. How awesome would that be?
p.s. click on the covers to go to their Goodreads pages

Contemporaries

Eleanor & Park/Attachments: I really enjoyed these two books and being a sucker for contemporary movies, I would love to see this translate to the big screen!

On the Island: It would be interesting to actually watch T.J and Anna go through all the obstacles they face when they were on the island! I love movies/shows were characters are stranded. :P

Fallen: I think I am too old for this series now, it just doesn't appeal to me anymore. Also, the summary makes the book sound so predictable. Meh.

The Princess Diaries series: Yes there are already 2 movies out there but they were not that good and it would be so amazing if there was an entire tv series about Mia and Michael <3 Haha pardon me but I am just such a die-hard fan of this 'kiddy' series.

Top Ten Tuesday #9: Top TV Shows Part 2

Top TV Shows Part 2

This week's Top Ten Tuesday Topic is actually about beach reads but honestly, nobody in the right mind should be reading at the beach(es) in Singapore. It is insanely humid and your book will be drenched in your own sweat (gross). The only acceptable time to read by the beach is at night, but then again you wouldn't be able to see a thing...lol so anyway point is, this week's topic just doesn't make sense for me so I am hijacking it to continue with my Top TV Shows list! This is part 2 of my list of great TV shows! You can find part 1 here. :) Similarly, there will be 3 reasons to watch the show accompanying each choice.

I actually watch/enjoy a lot more shows than these 10 so I might share the other shows that I am watching in another post! Part 1 of this did surprisingly well so I am guessing that there are a lot of book lovers who love tv as well. :D

Warning: This post is image heavy. I got carried away...

Sherlock
Adaptation of Sherlock Holmes. British Humour. Benedict Cumberbatch. Bromance.

1. British Humour

2. Benedict Cumberbatch

3. Bromance

Survivor
A bunch of people/strangers living together on an island where they are left to starve and create drama while taking part in competitions to win a million dollars.

1. So many personalities

2. Different themes (nearly) every season
There has been some really interesting seasons so far and next season involves a bunch of audiences' favourites from past seasons which means that there are a lot of cute guys involved! :P

3. Drama/#blindside

Orphan Black
Clones wrecking havoc with loads of mystery! If you have ever watched Dollhouse, Orphan Black reminds me of it.

1. Mind F*
You never know what is actually going to happen.

2. Intense/heart-stopping

3. Great great acting
How can one person play 12 different people!?!? She deserves all the awards that she has been getting! I hope Tatiana Maslany is paid 12 times her share. :P

The Big Bang Theory
A bunch of nerds doing funny nerdy things. This is a show for all nerds.

1. Sheldon Cooper/Jim Parsons

2. Amazing friendships

3. HILARIOUS

The Return of Superman/Superman is Back
A lot of you would have never heard of this since it is a Korean reality show and I AM HERE TO INTRODUCE YOU TO CUTENESS OVERLOAD! In this show, fathers are made to take care of their children for 48 hours without their wives. These type of dads are called "Superman". Its aim is to encourage more fathers to spend time with their children and to show that it is not as difficult/scary as they think it would be.
People in the US: Watch it free here on Dramafever
Everywhere else: Watch it on Youtube here (this source is one episode behind Dramafever)
I highly recommend that you start watching from episode 34 because thats when the cutest triplets first joined the show. :) There are currently 4 families on the show.

1. You will get a whole new perspective on food.
The kids on the show INHALE food.

2. There is a budding LDR (one lives in Korea and the other in Japan) on the show between two kids, its soooo cute.

3. They have the cutest outfits

Bonus: You will get baby fever.
Sorry I got so carried away. There are actually other kids on the show:
eg. My second favourite kiddos! They are twins. :)

Hope you enjoyed this post! :)

Top Ten Tuesday #8: Top TV Shows Part 1

Top TV Shows Part 1

Since this week's TTT is a freebie, I decided to do something non-book related! Besides reading, I absolutely LOVE watching TV shows so I thought I would share some of my absolute favourites with you guys. Feel free to recommend shows to me too! I am always looking out for more :P

Here are 5 of the top ten shows I would recommend to everyone!
(Accompanied by 3 reasons why you should watch them.)

I decided to split this into 2 parts because it was getting a bit long. I will be posting up part 2 next Tuesday! :)

Modern Family
This is a sitcom that follows 3 families (that have different family structures) and their antics. This is hands down my all-time favourite sitcom.

1. Hilarious references

2. Gay couple with a lot of sass

3. Amazing cast

New Girl
This is a sitcom that's currently airing and its about a girl who moves in with 3 guy roommates. I love Zoey Deschanel in this!
1. Zoey Deschanel

2. Great female friendship
3. Its weirdly awkward.

Prison Break
The name says it all. It starts off with a younger brother breaking his older brother out of prison. This concluded in 2009 and I miss Wentworth Miller so much, he's such an eye candy! The first 2 seasons were amazing but it kind of went downhill after that. It is still one of my favourites though, its so intense!
p.s. there are 2 criminal brothers in The Flash and it is obviously a reference to Prison Break. I fangirled so hard when I saw Wentworth Miller :P
1. Wentworth Miller (obviously), his voice is also incredibly sexy.
I know he's gay but man, he is hot!
2. Amazing frienships

3. All the feels

Breaking Bad
This is another series that has already concluded so you can marathon it! :) This is as exciting as Prison Break and these two are tied for the best TV drama I've ever watched. Breaking Bad is about a chemistry teacher who finds out that he has terminal cancer and decides to start a meth lab to earn as much as possible for his family before he dies. Yes, it is as crazy as it sounds.

1. Crazy character arcs
this is a high school chemistry teacher!?

2. Every episode is intense

3. Cinematography

The Amazing Race
I've been watching this since I was a kid and I have never missed a single episode since then. Who doesn't wanna live vicariously through the teams travelling around the world and be entertained by all the drama that goes along with it.
p.s. There is a serious lack of Amazing Race gifs. :(

1. Travel the world

2. Scream at the TV when a team is being stupid

3. The things people say on TV

Hope you enjoyed this post! :)
